I wait all year for this meteor shower. It happens every August and if the sky is clear it's an amazing sight to see. But it's not always clear and sometimes you can only see slight meteors trough the breaking cloud if your lucky. It has happened some years and is very disappointing, but not this year! This years was the best I have ever seen in all the years I've been watching it. It started years ago when me and my younger sister where out in the garden one night and saw some "shooting stars" so we stayed lying on the trampoline for hours watching. It wasn't a very clear night so didn't see to many but enough to be amazed. We looked it up and found out that it was the Perseid meteor shower and that it happened every August. That year we happened to see it on the last night, we decided that the next year we will do the same. We told my sister to watch out for them and eventually became the three of us and this year our youngest sister joined us. So it has become the tradition that every August we all head to the trampoline in the back garden with lots of blankets and big winter coats and lye there looking at the meteor's. This year the cloud got really thick and after a couple of hour we gave up because it was really cold. But at about 3am I looked out the window and the sky was clearer then I'd ever seen it so we headed back out and saw the best Meteor shower in all the years we have been doing this. It's amazing to see and very exciting when a huge on goes right across the sky. I'm already excited for next year and even though nobody knows where we will all be this time in a year we will always still watch it and I'm sure love every minute of it!
